Beautiful boy. I don't care if there's a fear factor involved in my fascination with them (everyone has it at some degree). I'd love to go cage diving. I've swam where sharks frequently pass through at Guildford Swan River but never encountered one. A big Tiger had been spotted the day we were there but they're usually just swimming through.

I got to do this in South Africa off Gansbaai, before cruising over to the French Polynesian islands and swimming outside of a cage with black tip reef and lemon sharks! I can now die a happy man 👌🏼

That is the membrane that goes over the eye to protect it from having food damage the eye I believe.

It’s called a nictating lens! It’s a special tough white film that slides overs the eye,so the eye won’t get damaged by a prey item,like seal claws etc. Many animals have them. Watch carefully as she bites it, a white lens will slide over her eye. It’s not a zombie shark

I can't believe people don't automatically know this. A shark doesn't "roll his eyes back" or "pull his eyes up." It's a protective film that comes up over the eye to protect it. Why don't people know these things? ***Sharks cannot close their eyelids, so they must use a transparent nictitating membrane to protect and clean their eyes. Some sharks also have a protective third membrane that pops out when the Shark is stressed or attacking prey.** I suppose you guys don't know about cat's eyes either. Exactly the same thing. A membrane comes across the eye starting at the inner center of the eye. **Cats have a third eyelid, or nictitating membrane, in the inner corner of the eye, which is also covered by conjunctiva.***

Great whites are awsome, as long as you can see them and they know you can see them,but as soon as your not watching your surroundings, and your foolish enough to swim or surf alone you could get one of those, as scientists like to call them sample bite,but one bite could end you,these beasts are awesome 😀 but ill stay on the boat thank you,lol
